Half-way Point!

We have officially reached the half-way point! Can you believe it, I can't. I was 20 weeks on Friday, only 20 more to go until Ms. Chloe makes her grand appearance! Since Wednesday there has actually been a lot of activity going on. Nolen felt Chloe moving around for the first time. Every now and then her movement will be strong enough that he can feel one. Has only happened twice so far, but I have a feeling it wont be long and he will be able to feel her a lot more often.

We also started researching/ trying to decide what we actually need to get to be prepared for Chloe vs. what we would like to have. Needless to say sometimes the internet is a blessing, and others it is a curse. You would think it wouldn't be that hard to pick out, say a car seat. But now, the question becomes, do you want one the hooks into your stroller, do you need both one for an infant and one for when she gets a little older, or do you get a convertible one. If you get a convertible one, then is it really up to the safety standards....and on and on and on! I think you get my drift. There seem to be so many different options, safety features to weight, and choices on looks that it is just tooooo much. So Nolen and I have decided to do a little more research before we venture into the store and actually start picking out what we need.

As always, here is this weeks picture. Had a girl in church yesterday tell me there was no way I could be 20 weeks along, that I hardly looked pregnant. These comments are strange, don't really know how to take them, but oh well. I still think it all depends on what I wear. I am very thankful to be so tall, I truly think it helps this whole thing out!Looking forward to another great week. Tyler and Christine are in town, so we should have a lot of fun! Until next week!

Opps...

So I guess it's been a while since I last posted. The bar consumed most of my summer, then for the first time in a long time I was able to catch up on silly little things around the house and enjoy being a bit lazy. So, here's what's been going on with the Weaver's lately....

We had a very full house the first of August. Jacob was still with us for the summer, Amanda and Caleb also came to stay for a week or so! I must say, Nolen and I loved having everyone here. It makes the house seem so very empty now that it is just him and I again. While they were here though, Jacob, Caleb, and I did get to go to an Astro's game with some AWESOME seats 4 rows behind home plate. Thank you Amanda!!!

Then we headed out to the ranch for a long weekend. I hadn't been out there since Memorial Day, so it was amazing to see the progress of the house being built out there. Hard to imagine that soon we will all be staying there and no longer in the "barn". Crazy!

The last week of August I headed up to Denver for a week! It was just beautiful! My parent's moved up there in March and are loving it. We went to Estes Park, Red Rocks, Breckenridge, a Rockies Game, and just all over Denver. I was in some serious need of just relaxing time, and got in a full dose with mom and dad!

Other than that, it's just been trying to find a job, getting various things done around the house and enjoying life. I must say having the opportunity to slow down these past few weeks has been amazing. It is given me the opportunity to realize how truly lucky I am for everything I have in my life :)

Until next time, which I promise will not be as long. And I hope to figure out how to post pictures on here as well!

Less than 2 weeks...

So in two weeks time I will have the pleasure of taking that wonderful test called the bar. Must say it is pretty bitter-sweet to me. First, I can think of nothing more than being done with this test that has consumed my entire summer, but then on the other side I am officially done with school and have to join the working world. I am excited to join the working world, but with the job market currently, I am just afraid of not being able to find anything. But that worry is for another day. Who knows what might happen.

So, for the next two weeks if you could all send some smart prayers and thoughts my way I would really appreciate it. The test starts July 27th at 8:00am, and I will be done July 29th at 4:00. Yes, the test really does last 3 days...

Until then!

Busy busy busy

I would like to think that every once and a while life would slow down a little bit, but I have come to the conclusion that whenever you wish or think it will, it only speeds up some more. Our past 6 months or so have been crazy, buying our first house, me finishing law school, and Tyler & Christine getting married, just to name a few events. So all along I thought by the time we made it to July the pace of life would get back to normal. But what was I thinking?!? I have the bar in less than 20 days and Nolen started a new job with Chevron a week ago. So for this "short" week it has been, it feels like it has lasted so much longer.

With the pace that never slows down, though, it makes me so thankful for all the people in our lives that keep us so busy. We have an amazing set of friends that keep us going non-stop, Nolen has a wonderful job and I hopefully will be able to say that soon as well. I just planned a trip up to Denver for 10 days next month to see my parents and brother, cannot wait, and I'm sure we will be heading out to the ranch come the first part of August to see all the progress on the house and Caleb before he heads to Lubbock to start at Tech!

Life is crazy, but I have to stop looking at that in the negative. It is crazy because we are blessed.

Until next time!

Blogging World

So I am going to attempt to join the blogging world to keep you up to date with our crazy lives. I love reading other people's blogs, seeing pictures, etc., so I am going to attempt to do the same. I have a feeling I will start off pretty slow since I don't understand half of the options on here, but I will get better. So bear with me, if you have any tips please pass them this way!
